Accept - then act. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it... This will miraculously transform your whole life.
Source: The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment, Eckhart Tolle, 1997
I recall this passage directly from The Power of Now, in the material on surrender and acceptance: 'Accept — then act. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it... This will miraculously transform your whole life.' The ellipsis in this copy elides the 'work with it, not against it' clause. Confident in the book; no page number verified, so held just under the primary-source band.
